June Workshop: Why didn’t anyone tell me about (peri)menopause?
Why didn’t anyone tell me about (peri)menopause?
How is it we learn about periods and reproduction, but no one teaches us about (peri)menopause? Until recently, few have been brave enough to talk aloud about it, even with their core circle. And for those who have, often it was more of a whisper waiting to see if anyone else feels the same. Thankfully, this is changing as more and more women share their experiences realizing they are not alone.
As we enter this natural stage in life that impacts 50% of the population, we need to be better informed. Let’s start with the basics. Dr. Christine Kadykalo, ND and Jessica Scattolon, Founder of AlterEgo Health will share some foundational information about (peri)menopause, and how to create your support system.
Here’s what we’ll cover:
- Menopause 101 – what is it, the risks, and treatment options
- The role of estrogen and progesterone
- Importance of addressing early menopause
- Hormone Therapy – the Pros and Cons
- Building your care team – the role different health professionals play
About our workshop facilitators:
JESSICA SCATTOLON | Founder + CEO, AlterEgo Health
Jessica wants to make things better tomorrow than they were today. As founder and CEO of AlterEgo, she is thrilled to help those needing menopausal care and education.
