Ainsley grew up surrounded by nature in Vancouver, BC which inspired a fierce desire to protect it. She first spoke at city council at age 8 to protect the forests from logging and have been actively working to ensure a better future since then. 

Her passion for storytelling and art has also always been a part of her life – after studying at the University of British Columbia, she became a photographer which allowed her to travel the world and have her images published in British Vogue and Martha Stewart to name a few.
