WNORTH is a global community of women who are aiming for, or already on, a senior executive leadership track. WNORTH connects top female business leaders in corporate, public and entrepreneurial sectors through an annual Conference, an online community, The Members’ Club, as well as events and programming in six chapter cities; Vancouver, Toronto, Seattle, San Francisco, New York and London.

WNORTH’s mission is to develop more women to leading positions in business, and in doing so we will elevate the teams they work in, the families they lead and the communities in which they live.

On Thursday June 14, WNORTH will host an official Launch Event of the London Chapter of WNORTH at the prestigious Canada house, Trafalgar Square: Celebrating Modern Role Models: Lessons in Leadership. An evening cocktail event with light appetizers, wines from British Columbia, special remarks, speakers and an engaging panel discussion!

Chantal Coady OBE

Chantal Coady, founded the British chocolatiers and cocoa growers Rococo Chocolates, starting the business soon after graduating from art school in 1983. Coady has been pivotal in changing the UK chocolate scene, weaning people away from sugary confectionery to single estate dark chocolate. The first person to be awarded an OBE for “Services to Chocolate Making” by the Queen in her 2014 Birthday Honours list.

Max Foster

Anchor and London Correspondent at CNN

Max Foster is a CNN anchor and reporter based in London with nearly thirty years’ experience in broadcasting. He hosts the global debate show ‘CNN Talk with Max Foster‘ which appears on CNN International, Facebook and iTunes. He also anchors the London edition of the newscast ‘CNN Newsroom.’

Max has played a pivotal role in CNN’s coverage of major world events, often on location and has interviewed influential leaders and trail blazers from Donald Trump and Steve Jobs to Taylor Swift. He is also CNN’s Royal Correspondent and London Correspondent. He led the network’s reporting on the UK ‘Brexit’ referendum and his royal exclusives include interviews with The Duke of Cambridge, The Prince of Wales and The Queen of Denmark.

Max is a speaker and moderator for various international bodies, including the United Nations. He runs masterclasses in news anchoring for CNN affiliates around the world and blogs at cloutology.com on matters related to his book, ‘It’s All About Clout.’

Rupal is Strategic Advisor to Oliver Wyman’s Social Impact team, which takes a capabilities-based approach to driving social change. She is the founder of Mission INCLUDE, an initiative for FTSE100 companies to build cultures where diversity – in all its forms – is highly valued for the uncommon connections it creates, and also the GenGive movement inspiring young changemakers. Rupal was Chief Operating Officer of Oliver Wyman’s Insurance Practice across Europe, Middle East and Africa until 2016. She is currently a trustee, befriender, and long term supporter of national child bereavement charity The Lullaby Trust.

Alison Nimmo

Alison Nimmo is CEO of The Crown Estate – a £13bn real estate business. Previous to this role Alison spent 8 years on bidding and then delivering the “big build” for the London Olympic & Paralympic Games as Director of Design and Regeneration at the Olympic Delivery Authority (ODA). Alison is also a non-executive director of the Berkeley Group; a trustee of the UK Green Building Council; chair of the CBI’s Economic Growth Board; and a council member of Imperial College. She was awarded a CBE for services to urban regeneration in 2004.

Shirin Foroutan

Chief Operating Officer at MPC Film

Shirin Foroutan completed her studies in Political Science and International Relations at The University of British Columbia, before then obtaining her LLB/BCL Law Degrees at McGill University in Montreal, Canada.

She has since forged a career in the Entertainment industry, first serving as a Director of Legal Affairs at events company Live Nation Global Touring in Toronto and then as a Director and Legal Counsel of the Ceremonies for the Vancouver 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games. A similar role followed in London for the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Shirin then took on the role of Global Managing Director for the music record label and music publishing company Mute across their London, New York and Berlin offices, where she served for nearly four years before joining MPC Film in September 2017.
