Calling all #WNORTH Members! It’s not too late to join us for our annual #Whistler Summer Hike & Apres this Friday July 12!

On the agenda: We will be hiking up to Cheakamus Lake in Garibaldi Provincial Park. A 7.7-km out-and-back trail south of Whistler. Generally considered a moderately challenging route. Approx 4 hour round trip. Cheakamus Lake offers beautiful views of a turquoise lake surrounded by towering mountains and lush forests.

Members, bring a snack to enjoy the scenic lunch spot at the top by the lake, and a bathing suit to take a fresh dip in the glacial lake.

We will cap off the hike with an après at @nitalakelodge over looking beautiful #NitaLake!

We are starting a new weekly series celebrating our members, their achievements and the work that they do. First up, Founding Member of @wnorthconnect, Amy Robichaud.

This week, Amy is in New York City for the 2024 High Level Political Forum on Sustainable Development under the auspices of the United Nations ECOSOC Committee.

Amy has dedicated her career to creating practical ways to build community, generate equality, create economic inclusion, opportunity and prosperity for all - so being a part of this forum as a member of Canada’s official delegation - is a dream come true for Amy!

Amy will take her learnings back to her leadership of both Mothers Matter Centre and the City of Vancouver’s Women’s Advisory Committee.

"We have much work to do domestically and globally to reach the Sustainable Development Goals and to ensure that no one is left behind. That work is complex, difficult, necessary and most importantly - possible." - @amymarlener

If we truly want to change the world, we all just need to relax.. wise words form our Emcee Steph Corker at the 8th Annual @wnorthconnect Conference this past May. At @wnorthconnect, we consistently strive to provide a welcoming and safe space for our community.

This year’s conference theme was #LiftAsWeRise and our attendees had a great sense of belonging. Our Conference survey results show 96%
of respondents ranked their sense of belonging to the WNORTH Conference 8 or greater, out of 10.
