AVP, Strategic Planning and Corporate Affairs Blueshore Financial

Armita S. Alikhani is AVP, Strategic Planning and Corporate Affairs at BlueShore Financial, a BC-based full service financial institution offering premium client service and expert financial advice. Armita is responsible for working closely with the CEO, BlueShore’s senior leadership team, and Board of Directors to support the development of long term strategy and facilitate the discussion of BlueShore’s strategic objectives across the organization to cascade the strategy and ensure alignment. She also oversees the enterprise-wide project management process, corporate communications, public relations, corporate affairs, and community impact.
Prior to financial services Armita worked in the technology sector in Marketing Communications for a decade. Having worked with organizations ranging from Microsoft Canada, Avaya, FINCAD, and Credential Financial (Aviso Wealth) she has developed highly successful global go-to-market strategies and project managed corporate-wide initiatives including marketing communication strategies for software launches, acquisitions, and roll out of new corporate divisions. Under Armita’s leadership, BlueShore’s media relations program was recognized with the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Gold Quill Award and the CPRS Canadian Media Relations Campaign of the Year.

Armita is passionate about contributing to positive community impact and is an advocate for women and children. She is currently a member of the Board of Directors of Dress for Success Vancouver whose mission is empowering women into the workforce by providing them with professional attire, career services, and skills development programs. She has also served as an elected Director on the Simon Fraser University Alumni Association Board for six years and contributed as a long term volunteer to the KidSafe Project and UNICEF Ontario.

Armita holds a BA in Political Science and Communications from Simon Fraser University. She is currently enrolled in the joint UBC Sauder School of Business and BlueShore Executive Leadership Development program and is completing her MBA.
