Caryl Longden

Operations Director, Left Technologies – Vancouver BC

Caryl is Operations Director for Left Technologies and is currently focusing her efforts on the RightMesh project.  RightMesh is a mobile mesh networking platform and protocol that allows people to connect to each other phone-to-phone without using a centralized infrastructure. Combining the power of blockchain, tokenization, and mobile mesh networking, RightMesh is on a mission to bring connectivity to the next billion users worldwide.

In her role, Caryl coordinates teams in both Canada and Bangladesh to ensure developers, product managers, communications, senior management and other corporate departments keep the roadmap on track, develop the RightMesh technology, and ultimately bring the product to market.

Caryl brings 15+ years of technology project management to her roles at Left and RightMesh having previously worked with distinguished organizations including Microsoft, Coast Capital Savings, and Vancity Credit Union. Her career started in operations management for a large European leisure company in the UK and grew to cover management of a European-wide team implementing systems and IT infrastructure.  Caryl’s experience is backed by an MSc in E-commerce from Huddersfield University and PMP certification.

Caryl is a passionate volunteer and for many years she mentored women looking to get back into the workforce, specifically in the field of software development, for the Vancouver YWCA.
