GTA Managing Partner and National Banking Leader PwC Canada

Diane Kazarian is the Managing Partner for the Greater Toronto area and is a member of the firm’s Extended Leadership Team at PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP (PwC). For more than 25 years, Diane has been serving a broad base of public and private clients at PwC. Since 2012 in her role as National Financial Services Leader, Diane has built a robust practice, leading teams in the banking and capital markets, asset management, insurance, real estate, and private equity sectors. She is also very active speaking in conference and media on topics of innovation, notably FinTech, Blockchain, and emerging technologies impacting the financial services and is PwC’s Global Financial Services Brand Leader.

With over 30 years of experience in the financial services industry, Diane specializes in the banking sector in the development and monitoring of legal and reputational risk policies, procedures and processes, regulatory compliance and credit risk management processes. She has extensive experience of IFRS, US GAAP and SEC rules and regulations.

In 2013, Diane was a recipient of the Women’s Executive Network’s (WXN) Canada’s Most Powerful Women: Top 100 Awards.

Diane has a BSc (Business Administration) from Bryant University in Smithfield, Rhode Island (Summa Cum Laude). She is a CA and CPA, and is fluent in Armenian. She speaks at a variety of client events, and teaches courses aimed at the directors’ community at the Rotman School of Management and frequently interacts with the press on emerging issues in Financial Services. Diane is an active participant and advocate of Women in Leadership and Diversity and Inclusion. She is also on the Board of Bryant University and Kingsway College School.
