It doesn’t happen every year, but once in while the lake freezes over in #Whistler without snowfall and the lakes turn into the most magical, natural skating rinks.

This past weekend, our @wnorthconnect #WhistlerBC Chapter lead @katiabarton, who has been figure skating her whole life and teaches ⛸️ part-time, headed out on Green Lake at sunset to soak up the magic of this moment.

Note: Due to warmer conditions, ice skating may no longer be possible this week so please check conditions before you go.

What an incredible moment for the @wnorthconnect #Victoria community last Thursday as we celebrated the leadership of Ariel White (@arieleve.x) and welcomed Danielle Smeltzer (@danielle.awarelyleadership) as the new City Director for the Victoria Chapter for #WNORTH!

Ariel’s vision and dedication over the past two years has created a powerful, authentic community where women show up for one another, share their truths, and rise together. Reflecting on her time, Ariel shared:

“Together, we’ve built the community I always wished I had—one where we can show up wholly as ourselves. I know this culture will continue to grow under Danielle’s leadership.”

Danielle, now stepping into her new role, expressed her gratitude:

“These women and this community pulled me through a year of massive reinvention. Thank you, Ariel, for trusting me to carry this chapter forward, and to Elizabeth Peacock (@lizashpeacock) and Heather Odendaal (@heatherodendaal) for your guidance and support. Together, we rise!”
