A national award-winning serial entrepreneur and strategic growth advisor, Meredith Powell is committed tirelessly to championing innovation and diversity in leadership and tech.
Starting in her 20s, she built – and scaled globally – three companies in the fashion industry generating over $45m in sales, launched the world’s largest B2B marketplace (shopthefloor.com, acquired by UBM), and created a startup incubator for young entrepreneurs. 50 founders graduated the youth educational program to date, raising over $10M in venture capital.
Currently, Meredith is an active venture partner and consultant through her firm, Powell&Company, dedicating much of her time to financial technology, artificial intelligence, blockchain innovation, and giving back within the tech ecosystem.
Meredith is a Director of the Board at the Greater Vancouver Board of Trade, Startup Canada’s 2016 National award winner for promoting entrepreneurship, a Business in Vancouver Top 40 Under 40, BC Business Magazine’s “Top 35 Most Influential Women in Business”, YWCA’s 2017 Woman of Distinction winner for “Entrepreneurship and Innovation”, and an RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards nominee.
