Kshamta Kaushik

MD & Head, European Corporate & Investment Banking, Scotiabank

Kshamta heads the Corporate and Investment Banking team for Scotiabank in Europe. In this role, she oversees the Investment Banking, Corporate Banking, Loan Syndication and Global Business Payments businesses.

She has over 19 years of international experience across India, Canada and the United Kingdom. Starting her career at British Airways in India, Kshamta then transitioned into a career in banking. She started in risk management before moving into capital markets where she has held progressively senior roles since gaining experience in structured products, debt capital markets, derivatives products, and loan portfolio management.

Kshamta is a strong advocate in the diversity and inclusion space and is a Global Banking & Markets Champion of Change and the Co-Chair of the London Diversity and Inclusion Committee. She also leads the mentorship programme in London and is heavily involved in the new parent support scheme.

She holds a Masters of Mathematics in Statistics Finance from the University of Waterloo and a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics from St. Stephens College in New Delhi. She currently lives in London with her husband and seven year old daughter.
