(she/her) is a passionate advocate for equity and justice, bringing her expertise as a diversity and inclusion practitioner to the forefront. With a focus on centering equity-deserving individuals, Shahzia empowers leaders to leverage their privilege to create anti-racist and equitable workplace cultures. As the host of The Equity Gap Podcast, she facilitates candid conversations aimed at advancing equity with a justice lens. Shahzia’s commitment to mentorship and community development reflects her dedication to creating space for all individuals to thrive.
Carmen Cheng (she/her) brings over 20 years of experience in human resources, specializing in talent strategies, leadership development, and change management. Currently managing Talent Strategies and Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging at ENMAX, Carmen’s work is fueled by her passion for learning about diverse cultures and experiences. Through her journey in inclusion work, she recognizes the critical role of organizational culture and people practices in fostering belonging and equity. Beyond HR, Carmen is a seasoned food writer, sharing stories of food cultures and spotlighting small producers and businesses.
